The real symbol of Socialism’s Continuous Revolution is not the hammer, the sickle, the red flag, the black flag, the red or yellow star, the ear of corn or rice, or the raised fist. Nor is it the red shirt, the black shirt, the brown shirt, the black pyjamas, the Che Guevara T-shirt, or the black beret with black polo necked sweater. Nor the hippy peace sign, its anti-nuclear crow’s foot variant, or the ‘A’-in-a-circle anarchist symbol. Nor is it any of the towering images of a Benign Leader, or the many graphic representations of New Socialist Man. Nor is it even the chattering AK47, the clanking T55, the ubiquitous RPG-7, the military boot, the HoChiMin sandal, or one of innumerable mass graves or piles of whitened skulls.

The real symbol of Socialism’s Continuous Revolution is the airbrush.
